Pre-Operative Instructions: Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Your oral surgery will be performed using nitrous oxide sedation. The medication that will be administered to you will allow you to undergo this treatment in a relaxed and comfortable state, yet you will be awake.

These recommendations should be followed:

• Please have a light meal 2 hours before your appointment. After that, you may have liquids as you wish.
• Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
• If you wear contact lenses, please remove them, and wear glasses to the appointment.
• Take all your regular medications on your usual schedule unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
